Registration: To register online for the event, go to www.walkfortheanimalsmiami.com. You can register in person at the Registration Tent on walk day. We strongly encourage everyone to register pre-event. There is no registration fee; however, we encourage all participants to raise at least $50 to receive an official 2020 Walk for the Animals shirt and goody bag on walk day. All participants that have pre-registered must check-in at the Registration Tent on walk day.
Directions: The event is located at Maurice A. Ferre Park (formerly Museum Park): 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. When you arrive, please follow the Humane Society of Greater Miami Walk signs.
Location & Parking: The Walk for the Animals event will take place at Maurice A. Ferré Park (formerly Museum Park) located at 1075 Biscayne Blvd. (next to the Frost Museum of Science). American Airlines Arena Parking is providing the discounted rate of $5 – all cars must be out of the lot before 5 p.m. Please visit Miami Parking Authority for additional nearby parking information.
Walk Route: The Walk for the Animals is for participants of all ages and all abilities and is just under a mile in distance. Please make sure to keep all dogs on leashes.
Site Map: The walk is just a small part of the Walk for the Animals. There are so many fun activities and things to do at the event!
Gather round the main stage to watch the contests, find out if you won the raffle or to hear the Top Fundraisers announced!
Make sure to catch the incredible Purina Pro Plan Performance Team during one (or both!) of their shows.
Come meet some of the adoptable dogs, learn about our foster and volunteer programs, get information about our clinics, shop from our boutique or just stop by and say hello!
Enjoy sweet treats and refreshments at our Bakery Booth - all goodies are available for a donation to the organization. Make sure to grab a seat in the Ryder Picnic Area to enjoy your snacks!
Turn your dog into an instant track star at the doggy lure course!
Visit with local rescue organizations and learn about the work they do in the community – make sure you stop by the Pet Supermarket tent and grab some goodies for Fido!
Come one, come all and test your luck on a game of chance. They are FREE to play and there is something for everyone (and every pup)!
Qualifying packs can gather their team together for group pictures!
Giveaways, games and good times – Oh my! Make sure to stop by the sponsor tents along the path – each one has put together a fun experience for Walk attendees (and their pets) to enjoy.
The last leg of the walk will take you through a new addition to the event! Students from St. Stephens Episcopal Parish 4th grade class created digital portraits of Humane Society of Greater Miami residents – enjoy this unique art installation as you make your way to the finish line.
Rain or Shine: Walk for the Animals takes place rain or shine! Be sure to check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly.
Donations: Cash, check and credit card donations will be accepted on walk day.
